American Water Works Company, Inc. (AWK): President and CEO, Director Donald L. Correll Bought 25,100 Shares

Water Utility Company, American Water Works Company, Inc. (AWK), sold 58 million shares at $1.25 billion in a public offering late-April. The German utility company RWE AG made plans to sell off their 60% interest in AWK by the end of this year.

CocaCola Enterprises Inc. (CCE): President and CEO John Brock Bought 20,000 Shares

Beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. (CCE)’s first quarter profits declines 47% on high expenses and weak domestic sales. The quarterly income dropped to $8 million or $0.02 a share from $15 million or $0.03 a share in 2007, despite a 7% revenue increase to $4.89 billion. Sales increased in Europe 16% and in North America 4%.


President and CEO John Brock bought 20,000 shares of CCE stock on 5/1/08 at $22.58 and bought 20,564 shares on 2/15/08 at $24.30. Other buys were made at $22.69 to $24.50 since February: EVP Steven A Cahillane bought 40,000 shares; SVP & CFO William W. Douglas III bought 10,000 shares; and lastly, Director Orrin H. Ingram II bought 5,000 shares.


In December, Director Lowry F. Kline sold 200,000 shares at $25.82 to $26.50.

SAVVIS Inc. (SVVS): CEO, Director Philip J. Koen Bought 20,000 Shares

Info technology service provider SAVVIS, Inc. (SVVS) lost $4.2 million or $0.08 a share in the first quarter on poor sales. In the same quarter a year ago, the company made a profit of $114.5 million or $2.13 a share on $125.2 million gain from the sale of CDN assets. The revenue dropped 1% to $203.3 million.

VASCO Data Security International, Inc. (VDSI) designs, develops markets hardware and software security systems that manage and secure access to information assets. The company first quarter’s revenue at $28.9 million was lower than what analysts expected. Income for the quarter was flat at $4.9 million compared to $5 million in the previous year. The company shares are currently around its 52-week low.


CEO, Director, 10% Owner T. Kendall Hunt bought 10,000 shares on 4/28/08 at $9.84 and Director Michael P. Cullinane bought a total of 20,000 shares on 2/29/08 at $11.24.


VASCO Data Security International Inc. has a market cap of $374.03 million; its shares were traded at around $10.22 with a P/E ratio of 18.42 and P/S ratio of 3.07.

Invacare Corp. (IVC): Chairman and CEO, Director Aaron Malachi Mixon III Bought 5,000 Shares

On a sales rise of 11% to $416.3 million, Medical equipment company Invacare Corporation (IVC) widened their first quarter profits to $3.1 million or $0.10 a share compared to a previous loss of $17.5 million or $0.55. The company shares hit a 52-week low when earnings missed analyst expectations of $0.24 a share.


While Arnold Van Den Berg and John Rogers own shares in Invacare Corporation, Kenneth Fisher and George Soros sold out their holdings in the last quarter of 2007.


Chairman and CEO, Director Aaron Malachi Mixon III bought 5,000 shares on 4/28/08 at $17.20. Also SVP and CFO Robert K. Gudbranson bought 1,000 shares at $17.22.
