Since joining Sainsbury's in 2017, Simon has been a dedicated, determined and enthusiastic champion of our customers and of our colleagues, and he's overseen sustained improvements in the grocery business during his time so far. He is ideally placed to develop and lead our strategy for the future, and the Board and I are looking forward to working closely with him over the coming years.
I'd also like to thank Jean Tomlin and Matt Brittin as they step down from the Board at this AGM after serving for 7 and 9 years, respectively, both of whom have made an outstanding contribution to our business. Thank you, Jean; and thank you, Matt.
Since writing our annual report, we've announced the appointment of 2 Non-Executive Directors, Keith Weed and Tanuj Kapilashrami. We're delighted to welcome them as Non-Executive Directors, and I'm very confident that they will both make a valuable contribution to Sainsbury's.
