Ladies and gentlemen, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board, I herewith open this year's Annual Shareholders' Meeting of Evonik Industries AG and take the chairperson to Section 19 of the Articles of Association of this company. On behalf of the members of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board, I would like to welcome our shareholders, the shareholder representatives and the ladies and gentlemen of the press as well as our guests.
Unfortunately, you, our shareholders and shareholder representatives cannot be here with us on site in Essen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to these very special circumstances, the Executive Board with the approval of the Supervisory Board decided that the ASM be held in a quarter of the regulations of the German Act on measures to combat the effect of COVID-19 pandemic as virtual ASM.
I would like to ask for your understanding for this measure, which, in line with the stipulations of the authorities, have been taken to protect the health and safety
