Dow 25,000 by 2017? That sounds like something from a science fiction novel, or Jeremy Siegel!

The prognosticator this time though is actually long-time value investor John Dorfman of Thunderstorm Capital.

I remember very well reading value investing articles written by Dorfman back at the turn of the century when his value investing style was written off as washed up.

Dorfman thinks the markets are too focused on Europe and are underestimating the importance (for American investors) of Asia and Canada which do not have Europe's problems.

He sees an economy recovering of its own natural forces (finally) after 12 years of sub-par growth. He thinks the market is headed to Dow 25,000 four years from now which is a 15% compounded return.
