This is the group of companies that raised their dividend during the week: RPM International Inc. (RPM, Financial), Epoch Holding Corp. (EPHC, Financial), Corning Inc. (GLW, Financial), Northwest Natural Gas Co. (NWN, Financial) and QR Energy (QRE, Financial).


RPM International Inc. (RPM)


RPM Incorporated manufactures and markets specialty paints, protective coatings and roofing systems, sealants and adhesives, for use in both industrial and consumer applications. RPM International Inc. has a market cap of $2.65 billion; its shares were traded at around $20.22 with a P/E ratio of 13.3 and P/S ratio of 0.78. On October 6, the company increased its quarterly dividend 2.4% to $0.215 per share. The dividend is payable on Oct. 31, 2011, to stockholders of record as of Oct. 17, 2011. This represents the 38th consecutive year of increased cash dividends paid to its stockholders, which places RPM in an elite category of less than half of 1 percent of all 19,000 publicly traded U.S. companies. The yield based on the new payout is 4.2%.

QR Energy LP announced its operating and financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2011. Revenue was $31.7 million. Net income was approximately $15.9 million.
