The other is "Real Time Picks" Real Time Picks, which reports the stock purchases and sales that Gurus have made within the prior 2 weeks. Some Gurus report their purchases / sales within 2 days. @pbtown: No, because he did not report his short positions in 13F.

Is it possible that a Buy by a guru could be a guru closing a short position? For example, Einhorn has/had a large short position in St. Joe and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. If he closes out some or all of his short, he'll buy stock to do so. Does that show up as a 'buy'?

Buffet knows how to buy long term like he did with gm when it was 19 per and then he knows when to do short term gm as is sold Feb at 36 bought about may at 32 for same stock he sold at 36 couple of months earlier if u watch what he has done with gm in last 3 yes u will get an idea how he pays attention and that is why he continues to make money I expect him to increase gm again in Jan poss Feb cause it will be at 38 by July at latest he will again clean up on gm for 4th time in as many years he does this time and time again with all stocks he is in

@GDW_follower "Buy" means "new position". "Add" means "add to an existing position."

how to show the list of gurus by different market periods - during boom and bust periods?
ReplyJEANRSMITH1@GMAIL.COM - 8 months ago
I am confused ,to say the least.I am a simple woman age 93 and have been in the market for longer then I can remember. There is such conflict of opinions, among these very experienced traders, that my head is spinning. Let me say that I have done very, very, well buying losers.Like DMND,WEN,CLL,AA,[making over $3000. i a very short time}Rad.I haven't sold any of these.Instead,I have handed them down to my Great grand children's gifts. I really do not like wasting money on taxes.Good luck, while you buy and sell I buy,and give away.
